Orlandina Basket to have a mini-camp in Malta from November 23rd to 26th

Orlandina Basket will be travelling to Malta next week for a three-day mini-camp during the international window.

The camp will be held between the 23rd and 26th November, during the National Leagues stop due to FIBA World Cup Qualifiers, and will be hosted by the Malta Basketball Association who had also successfully organized a visit by Orlandina Basket in January 2017.

Orlandina Basket (except the players involved in National Team duties: Mario Ihring, Arnoldas Kulboka and Jakub Wojciechowski) will travel to Malta to practice and to play an International friendly game against the MBA Selection (Malta’s National Team players and the best foreign players in the Maltese Basketball League).

The games is scheduled on Saturday, November 25th at 2.30PM and is part of the activities marking the inauguration of the renovated MBA Arena at Ta’ Qali.

Our second visit to Malta will further strengthen our excellent relationship with the Malta Basketball Association and its president Paul Sultana.

Giuseppe Sindoni (Orlandina Basket Sports Director): “This year again we have the chance to spend great time together during the League break, opening this mini-camp to our families. We will be focusing on basketball but this will be a great opportunity to have fun all together, which is very important in order to build a winning group. Malta loves basketball and is a land that can give us great new opportunities, also considering that we are very close. The fact that a Malta-based company Betaland is our title sponsor for the third season in a row is the proof. I’m sure that this will be a chance to create further opportunities. I want to thank Mr. Paul Sultana, the MBA President, and also the Ministry of sport, that made lot of efforts to bring us back“.

Paul Sultana (MBA President): “We’re very happy to be hosting Orlandina Basket for a second mini-camp in Malta. Orlandina Basket are a highly-respected organisation in the Italian Serie A League, a club that is making great steps forward, both domestically and also in the European competitions. We are looking forward to having them train and play at the newly-refurbished MBA Arena again. This is also a great opportunity for Maltese basketball fans and followers to see some high-level basketball on Saturday 25th November when Orlandina Basket play a friendly game against the best talents in our local league”.

This mini-camp also gives us the chance to visit our Title Partner Betaland’s headquarters.

Carmelo Mazza (Betaland CEO): “Our partnership with Orlandina Basket is really important to us. We are very proud on the great accomplishments of the team and to be a part of the best ever moment of Orlandina Basket basketball program”.
